Garden & Plant Centre Assistant (full time position)
Join Our Plant & Garden Team!
If you are someone with a real passion for plants and a flair of creativity – We are looking for a Full Time Plant & Garden Assistant to join our friendly team.
Experience and knowledge of plants would be highly advantageous, although you don’t need to be an expert in horticulture! Predominantly based outside in the fresh air, our Plants Team are here to provide excellent service and friendly advice to our customers, whilst creating, replenishing and maintaining our plant displays.
Responsibilities
- The role will include some weekend work.
- Assist in maintaining a tidy plant area, including watering plants, sweeping, and cleaning.
- Help customers with plant selection and provide advice on gardening techniques, plant care, and product information.
- Assist with receiving and unloading deliveries.
- Have a natural eye for design and ability to create ‘Pinterest’ worthy plant displays.
- Re-stocking plant area, ensuring products are displayed attractively.
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Requirements
- The job is very active one, so a good level of physical fitness is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A general knowledge of plants would be advantageous (but we will help you learn and quickly fill in any gaps)
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- You must be 17 years old or over to apply.
