Job Title: Seasonal Garden & Plant Team Assistant
Location: The Barn, Stanway, Essex
Hours: Seasonal, part-time role
Reports to: Garden & Plant Team Manager
Summary:
We’re looking for a warm and enthusiastic person to join our small, friendly Garden Centre team over our busiest season! Our Plants Team are here to provide excellent service and friendly advice to our customers, whilst replenishing and maintaining our plant displays. The role is predominantly based outside in the fresh air, you don’t need to be an expert in horticulture to apply! (training will be provided)
Responsibilities:
- Customer Service – Providing excellent service and friendly advice to our customers. Assisting customers with loading heavy items and plants into their vehicles.
- Garden Team Support – Support Garden Team with plant deliveries, topping up stock and watering.
- Plants & Groundskeeping – Replenishing plant displays, watering. Remove debris, weeding, fallen leaves from outdoor areas.
Skills you will bring:
- Friendly and helpful attitude
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Great communication and time management skills
- The role is a very active one, so a good level of physical fitness is essential
- Ability to work some weekends
